About DrivPrep

An independent US study platform for the DMV learner’s permit and driver’s license written test.

Our mission

DrivPrep exists to make passing the US DMV written test less stressful and more educational. We translate dense state driver handbooks into focused practice and plain-English explanations, so new drivers learn the rules — not just memorize answers.

Independent, not official

DrivPrep is a private educational service. We are not the DMV. We have no affiliation with, endorsement from, or connection to any state Department of Motor Vehicles or any US federal agency. We do not issue permits or licenses, and we cannot schedule official exams.

How our content is built

Our editors work directly from official state driver handbooks and DMV publications. Every practice question is written to mirror the format, topics, and difficulty of US state written tests. Questions are reviewed for accuracy and updated when state laws change.

Free, with optional Premium

The core experience — practice tests, study guides, and road-sign trainers — is free for every US state. Advertising through Google Ad Manager funds the free tier. A future DrivPrep Premium subscription will add an ad-free experience, full state question banks, progress analytics, and a personalized study plan, but free practice will always remain free.

What we don’t do

  • We do not guarantee a passing score on any official exam.
  • We do not publish official exam questions.
  • We do not represent or speak for any government agency.

Educational disclaimer

DrivPrep is an independent learning platform. We are not the DMV and have no affiliation with any state or federal motor-vehicle agency. Practice questions are educational examples modeled on standard US driver-handbook content; they do not reproduce actual exam items and do not guarantee a passing score. Always confirm current rules with your state’s official driver handbook.
